wow, I can't believe the quality of the pics even after downsizing them!!

Well, here ya go. This Johny Johnson's personal MKIX. This is the one he flew while comanding my grandfather.
My Grandfather flew with JJ, Buzz Buerling, and Lorne Cameron.
It was a pain staking process as this is NOT a very good fitting kit. Alot of mods were needed to fulfill my taste. The spinner and prop blades were not accurate so I scratchbuilt them myself carving them out of plastic stock. The wheels were repoured and moulded with resin by me. The plane was airbrushed with acrylics, and weathered with oils. I had the decals custom made for me by a company out of Ottawa, Canada. Arrow Graphics. They did a great job. Not to mention I had some great reference material. On and Off it took almost 2 yrs to build. I have 30 some odd other models.....crying out to me so when I got frusterated...I switched up. This is the first time I have shown ANY public eyes so please be gentle with the expert critisicism...

If you think the Occidental kit is bad, try the ICM kit Love the pics. I can see how it took so long to build. Interior looks stunning, much more detail than I usually bother with.
James Edgar "Jonnie" Johnson is a hero of mine. I was lucky enough to meet him once. As a future project of mine I'm going to build all of Johnsons MkIXs including the infamous JE-J jr, the plane that "never existed". This aircraft will be complete with beer barrels and will be the first of my Johnson MkIXs.

Thank you for the compliments. Cockpits have always been my true sweat and blood. I will wire the instruments, I even use guitar string for my O2 hose.
I even have individual seatbelt mechanisms I will put in. But I was happy with the outcome. Johnny is one of the best. That would be a great tribute to him. The next one I am going to do is Hasagawa's MKVc. I want to do it in the colors and marking's of George "BUZZ" Buerling while he was known as the Falcon of Malta. He was a Canadian from Quebec and shot down 27 planes in 14 days in combat in Malta stationed at Takali.Finished the war with 31 1/3 kills, one of the top allied aces.  Actually was comanded by Johnny as well. Flew with my grandfather.

Anyone good with research photos he flew the MKVc, coded TZ BR135 Except for his book "HERO" awsome read for all you spit fans....... ...I can't find to many pics of it. Even my grandfather doesn't have any.

I can only find reference to two Spits flow by Beurling on Malta. MkVb (Trop) EP706 with No.249 Sqdr. coded TL. I have reference for this aircraft in standard desert scheme (Mid stone, dark earth over Azure blue) and in overall "dark" blue over Azure blue. The second aircraft is MkVc (Trop) BR301 and I have this pic:

Thanks Tempest, I found that pic last  night as well. A lot more is on the net about him now. I also found decals for 5 of his planes. I also found one for you......

Spitfire #38  is a MK.IXe  "MK329" flown by Wing Commander J.E. Johnnie Johnson of No. 144 Wing during summer 1944 from St. Croix-sur-Mer and it's paint scheme was Dark Green/Ocean Grey over Medium Sea Grey with a fuselage band and spinner in sky. This is the famous "JEJ Jr" that was used to ferry beer kegs for Squadron parties.....kegs were held on hard points under the wing(s).  Plane was created from spares from wrecks.

Hi Merlin. Not sure if you knew this or not but it works GREAT in FS9... .....oh and it is flying over Malta

Certainly will not work in CFS3 as that has a totally new engine. I would doubt it will work in CFS1 but you could always try. Works just fine in 2K2 and FS9.

CFS3 has its own version however...

I assume this is a Gmax (or FSDS2) model. In this case it will NOT be compatible with CFS1.
