Personally, I'm still partial to the widebody trijets:  L1011, DC10, MD11.

Lockheed Tristar. The Busses are fat wales that eat gas like a american at mcdonalds. The Boeings are to generic. Oh and I also like the CRJ 40.

Tbh I wouldn't call the Tristar modern. Great plane, but outdated.

Quite like both the Tristar and the VC10 (nearly modern ). Like the A330 and A340 - very graceful - sadly a sentiment wich can't be appiled to the 767, although the 777 was an improvement...
