Neat plane, I must say.

I was wondering about the booster engines below the main turbofans.  Are they rockets or jets?

The boosters are rocket class engines (RD-60). D stands for Dviagtel, which means engine, R stands for rocket. Pistons usually use the 'M' prefix... at least postwar
