P51 Handhold?

On my P51 what is that object that is on top of the cockpit front dash, that looks like a sqaure with compass readings and things on its leather like not a hand hold?

Is this a navigation helper, or a bomb site our what?

This is a great plane and I have it on my FS2004.

Typically, it's the reflector gunsight.
