What on earth is it (its amazing what you can find in 1960s books)...

The cars may give a clue to its country of origin.

Its designer also had links with another aeroplane from the Real Air Simulations hanger... ;)

Wait a sec. That's a jet. A GA jet in the 60's? That's new to me.
Although, those intakes have a Hawkerish look to them.

GA jets were out almost as soon as jet engines ...

The French had a series of micro jets, and in fact, that line led to the Fouga Magister!

First flew in November 1960...

...try to visualise it with a 6 cyl. Lycoming on the front, and you might recognise its more well known cousin...

I remember seeing photos of this years ago. Forget what it is now. Gotta be a SAAB. Possibly a jet version of the Safir. That's all I can think of.

Mmmm, I think they might be FIATs or Alfa Romeos in the background...

My knowledge of cars is much poorer than my aircraft recognition ever was. My aircraft recognition is obviously not as good as I thought either. ::) ;)

I wasn't convinced but thought it was worth a shot.

PS. If it's Italian it looks very much like the SF260.
