North American Eagle?

Postby BFMF » Wed Mar 03, 2004 2:40 pm

At work, one of my supervisor's dad was a WW2 pilot that got to fly a lot of different aircraft. Anyway, my supervisor brought one of his dad's logbooks from WW2 to work and I got to look through it for a few minutes, and I noticed that under one aircraft type he got to fly was listed as a North American Eagle.

Call me stupid, but what aircraft type/or model is that?

No idea Andrew. It might help if you can remember the rough date & where he was based at the time.

Hi Andrew.

The only Eagle name for a US aircraft during WWII was the P-75, never mass-produced, though. Neither by North American.

If that's not the one, engine type (piston / turbo-jet, puller / pusher), wing and tail configuration (straight / swept, canards; T-tail, etc.) would greatly help.
