The Lufthansa Heist 1978

I remember that all too well,,, when it happened, it was Big News for weeks, months !!

and it seemed no matter what piece of used Jewelery that was around at the time, somebody was always tryin' to peddle it as if it was from the "The Lufthansa Heist", and people were more willing to buy it, just because it was from the Heist ! They could of give a rats ass bout' the actual Jewelery itself, just that fact it came from the heist was what they were having Fantasies about.

Everything from Ear Rings, to Watches to Gold Rings and Gold & Diamond Necklaces were being pawned as if they were from " The Lufthansa Heist "

That was in 1978 , the late 1970's early 1980's era

NOW its 2015, and now this is happening :

Not guilty

Vincent Asaro, the reputed mobster charged in connection with the notorious 1978 Lufthansa robbery, walked out of federal court in Brooklyn on Thursday a free man after a jury cleared him of racketeering and other charges.

The verdicts, delivered after little more than two days of deliberations, left many in the courtroom stunned, most visibly prosecutors from the United States attorney’s office, which had spent years building a case against Mr. Asaro, 80, with testimony from high-ranking Mafia figures and recordings by an informer for the Federal Bureau of Investigation ...

No glamor. Henry Hill died in 2012.

Or did he?

Ya' I'm pretty sure Henrys dead, life caught up to him, that and his drug and drinking problem.

I last spoke to Henry back in 2011, as I was going to purchase some of his "supposedly" Italian Sauce, he "supposedly" made himself, then when it came down to me payin him,, to receive my order ,, he was no where to be found, instead I ended up communicating with some other liaison, a supposed go between all of a sudden.

I had been prior talkin to him, both on the phone and thru Email, and messages left on his EBay page, where he was selling these whacked out googy lookin paintings he was painting to sell.

Suddenly, he gave up on sellin' his Italian sauce and decided to become a Painter Artist - supposedly  :?

Truthfully, I seen 7 year olds paint do art work better than what he was doin, and he thought he was goin to sell that crap ??? thru E-Bay even ????

Then a few years later I seen where he died,,, I have a distinct feeling, I never would of seen my Italian Sauce nor my money either !!

Go- Figure !

I remember now, I asked Henry, how do I know that you actually made that Sauce, and its NOT RAGU or some other sauce, you just dumped in another Jar, and put your Label on it ????? :o :?

He laughed at the thought at the time, but promised me he made it supposedly himself , "supposedly"

I told him I'd try 1 case of it, 1st to see if it'd sell,,,

then I got an EMail from him in like 2011 with an amount of damn near $750.00 dollars for 1 case of his Italian sauce, and I'm like thinkin to myself, he's shittin me right ???

So, I got back in contact with him,,, and he said he'd get back to back to me,,,,, he never did,,, next thing I know he's on E-Bay tryin to sell paintings he painted under the guise of Goodfellas or whatever, Henry Hill,,, don't think he went too far with that venture either

Jimmy & Pauly should of done what ever they needed to do at the time back then,, I suppose :violin:  :shifty:

Their ALL involved in a round bout way, many forget about the "Abscam" that took place too, where a confiscated luxury Yacht was used as a set up to snare some more Mobsters & Wise Guys, down in South Florida

Which is the part Al Pacino' (Benjamin "Lefty Guns" Ruggiero) and Depp played (Joe Pistone) and Sonny Black

I remember when it happened, it was as big a news as the Heist

but for those who don't remember or wanna know more I found this on "Abscam"
