As a regular Sim Flyer around San Francisco and the Bay area for many years, I have always been fascinated by this place!

Not much of it left now, for visitors to see.... :( ...!

A fascinating area, amongst the many wonders of the State of California!

Paul....Come with me for a Flight Sim tour!.... :D ...!

I never even knew there had been a fort there! Oddly enough I was reading this article in my lunch break today as well Paul. We seem to be singing from the same hymn sheet ;-)

I'm surprised you never spotted it during your many Spitfire low passes UNDER the bridge!... ...!

.....much to the annoyance of the San Francisco Police Department... ;) ...!

I been to both of those places in the 1990's, been across the Golden Gate Bridge several times, and my 1st time I did not know there was a TOLL BOOTH on the south side of the bridge as you head in to the old Fort Presido on the south end of the bridge.

Alctraz prision I found rather boring, but it was cold & windy the day for the tour so I lost interest quickly and just wanted to go back home, it was cold out there that day,, windy too,,,

found other parts of San Francisco kinda cool,,, the rolling hills and streets , brought back memories of a particular Mustang racing the streets at High Speeds !!!
