Back from the Moon, Apollo Astronauts Had to Go Through Customs

Departure from: Moon

Cargo: Moon rock and moon dust samples

Any other condition on board which may lead to the spread of disease: To be determined
(The astronauts were quarantined for three weeks)

Yeah, great reception for our returning heroes...Welcome back! Must feel great to get out of that cramped command module! Now park your tails in this cramped trailer for the next three weeks while we wait to see if you die.... :lol:

I completely agree with the quarantine. Have you ever read War of the Worlds (or seen the good movie or crappy movie based on it)?

Now that space tourism is coming closer to reality the customs check makes more sense. Everyone goes through it without exception. Now you're not going to see some bazillionaire space tourist say, "You let Neil Armstrong through, why not me?"

To further your information, as we become the space tourists, we may also be what needs be quarantined at the destinations...
rather like what happened to the native populations in the Americas when Europeans first made major contact...

...and the same goes for living organisms, (animals , birds, fish, insects, vegetation, etc), deposited in areas/places where they should not be!

..and as @H points out....the same goes for Humans!..... ;) .... ;) ....!
