"Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!" - Sen. John Blutarsky

You know, this used to be a helluva good country. I don't understand what's gone wrong with it. - George Hanson, 1969

And here I thought Guy Fawkes Night was like the 4th of July....Big-Bang_Booms everywhere! :text-welcomeconfetti: :violence-flak: :violence-bomb:

Then again, I only got my intel from the movie "V for Vendetta", so ignorance appears to be my strong suit in this one!

Well, glad you had a quiet night at least! :D

Sleep good!

We take it seriously in Sussex. http://www.lovesussex.com/arts-culture/bonfires.aspx

We had a great fireworks display & fun fair (no bonfire) along the seafront in Worthing last evening. Never seen so many people in my home town, even in the Summer. This made up a little for last weekend's event at Littlehampton being cancelled due to the approaching storm. If you want bonfires go a few miles east to Lewes, pronounced Lewis. Bonfire Night there is traditionally held on 5th November but commemorates events pre-dating Guy Fawkes. Some nice photos here --> http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2487976/Lewes-bonfire-night-celebration-results-14-arrests-dozens-injuries.html
