Interestingly enough, the AK-47 is the weapon system accounting for the most kills ever. Not bombs or nukes, just a cheap rifle that even the biggest idiot can handle. No jamming, no cleaning, all it can ever stop it from shooting is a lack of ammo. Not the most accurate of weapons, but when it hits, it hits hard.

It's not my first choice, but for a cheap, reliable, and an easily obtainable assault rifle, you can't beat the AK47.

But personally, I would get something with a little more accuracy and class....

I watched a history Channel program about this weapon, and accuracy was the one thing in demonstration after demonstration it lacked. Also when fired on fully automatic, it could prove to be a problem, however in what could be called muzzle to muzzle combat, it was/is the winner. Saying that being in front of a 7.62mm lump of lead in any situation is going to give you a very bad day. Over to you Andrew.

It's appeal is that it is cheap, it can get dirty, it can get beat up, and it just keeps on working.  But as was said, don't depend on accuracy.  Reminds me of the Russian PPSh, which was also cheap, could take a beating, but was NOT accurate at all.  But who needs accuracy when you are in close quarters?

ppsh41 did not need to be accurate, with 1500 *i think* rof and a large magazine capacity one of those rounds is bound to hit target. Saw a weapons cache they raided near bagdad on the news, where they poled out two of those along with a number of other classic soviet and American rifles. To bad they were all destroyed soon after

When I play Call of Duty online, I always prefer the PPSh over the German MG.  I'd just keep moving and spray.  The MG was far more accurate.  But with the PPSh, but you never had to really take the time to aim, just point and squeeze the trigger.  The MG's had a really slow rate of fire in comparison to the PPSh, Sten and the Thompson.

the ppsh was legendary for its high rate of fire, Think it has the highest rof for regular infantry sub machine gun ever fielded. I also prefer it in cod
