On the 16th of January 1707 the act of Union was signed, uniting Scotland with England and Wales to form the United Kingdom.

Yeah, and on the 16th of January 2008 Scotland will leave the Union and become independent; UK will be "Small Britain"!

Bit of an obvious document to sign considering that England and Scotland were united when James I came to the throne in 1603 or when ever it was Lizze I died.

Have to agree with Charlie here......doesnt really seem fair how they get to say how England is run but we don't get to influence them.
