[quote]The Hungarian Revolution of 1956 was a spontaneous nationwide revolt against the authoritarian communist government of Hungary and its Soviet-imposed policies, lasting from October 23 until November 10 of 1956. It began as a student demonstration which attracted thousands as it marched through central Budapest to the Parliament building. A student delegation entering the Radio Building attempting to broadcast their demands was detained. When the delegation's release was demanded by the demonstrators outside, they were fired upon by the State Security Police (

Doesnt look too serious to me (compared to the usual dutch soccer riots)

Just another case of the police not getting enough riot control training and going to teargas too early

So how much damage and injury is considered acceptable before the police use CS then?

2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

For the average dutch riot, police on horseback, a line of police and the dog squad are usually enough to keep 80% of the idiots under control. the other 20% usually recieves a beating and will spend a few days in jail. Soccer hooligans usually are drunk and drugged, but not considered to be really dangerous. The only group that is hated are the foreign Squatters that are used to over-reacting riot police and fight back with sharpened metal pipes

That is 'cos most of the journalists have been kept well out of the riot zone. One was shot with a rubber bullet (I feel this should happen to most journalists).
The police were beating elderly men and women, and women carrying children with rubber hoses and the like. I do NOT live in a democracy but a post-communist dictatorship. Things here are bad and getting worse :(

I do not know if you guys know this how the Russians achived to regain controll well let me tell a true tale.
On the night when the russians thought enough is enough the y sent a AN 12 who reported engine fire and some how persuaded the tower to land that aircraft acted as a controll tower after landing for the invasion airborne force i do not know how much of this is true. And the rest is history.
