Yer, and 15 years later we are still paying "solidarity" tax  ::)

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

In the US, there's many toll bridges and toll roads that have long since payed for the construction of those bridges and roads, but they keep on collecting!


I only remember one instance of a taxing authority actually stop collecting taxes because the purpose was completed - Jacksonville, Florida removed the toll booths on the I-295 loop after the road was paid for.
