I didn't know that women had ever been anything but nursing officers in WWI :o Let alone had anything to do with planes in a service capacity!

I know! I was amazed when I saw "woman" and flying in WW1!

I was amazed even, and i study the World Wars. Well god bless her soul, just goes to show that the ppl that kept the ace's flying where never seen

I'm not surprised at women doing this sort of work at all but I don't think it's general knowledge that they served in the RFC. I've certainly not heard of it before.

goes to show you that airplane dope fumes are good for you...

That's good news. I've worked with that stuff for most of my life.
