Leo Kessler

Hey all,

I rented a few more Leo Kessler books from the library because they rule. Now, the guy who writes them, Leo Kessler (Charles Whiting) claims he took inspiration from the "Von Dodenburg Papers" i.e the memoirs of an SS Colonel who lived in exile in Italy. He claims these papers now reside in the Germany Army's own museum. These books are fairly recent (10 or so years old) and I'm wondering, is this just made up or does anyone know of any truth to it?
