Well 42 years ago today he was killed! So which conspiracy theory do you think is most likely the correct one?

I watched a programme last night on the telly which went about disprooving the conspracy theorys by disprooving the film JFK by Oliver Stone who openly admitted to taking dramatic licience. For some reason I was less than convinced.

This is one of the few events that will always stick in my mind. I can remember exactly where I was when I first heard the news & how shocked I was to hear it. Although this happened many thousands of miles away I was terribly upset about it & I'm not even an American.

I don't know what to believe but I'm pretty certain we were never told the full truth & the whole thing was hushed up for whatever reason. I doubt we will ever find out what really happened on that sad day in history.

well, i think there was a conspiracy to make it look like a conspiracy so copycats would be discouraged.

In November 1993 I read most of Gerald Posner's 'Case Closed'.

Truth is often stranger than fiction but viewed from a distance while it was all happening the whole thing seemed very bizarre. Everything conveniently cut & dried & the prime suspect permanently silenced while under police guard by a somewhat dubious character whose own motives for doing so were never fully explained. What happened to Jack Ruby anyway? It had such an effect on me that I can remember his name after all these years without looking it up. As the events unfolded on our TV screens it was like watching some bizarre soap opera. It's possible that Lee Harvey Oswald did fire the shots that killed the President but we shall never know for certain any more than his motives for doing it or if he was working under contract for person or persons unknown.

All rather too convenient if you ask me but I doubt the truth will ever be told. This was a long time ago & is almost ancient history. All we're left with is the official story & all those conspiracy theories.

That's exactly the same with the 9/11 attacks for me. Tends to be the most shocking things that always stick with you.

I think the Russians did much the same thing to Kennedy as they did with the late John Paul II, if any of you have read Red Rabbit by Tom Clancy.
