How quaint the contrast: crowning our president is not considered proper (though some may want to  :-/) and, if he sits on a throne, we expect him to to so quite privately :-X
Nevertheless, taking note of time passing, it seems God has saved your Queen quite well. Happy Anniversary.

I hope she has a very long life, as her potential successors do not seem quite up to the task.

As a royalist from the stronghold of Oxford, I always loved the Royal family. Their pathetic example and poor show over the years has made that waiver. However, we are on about Elizabeth - so yeah  - Happy Anniversay!  ;D

I was 10 years old at the time & if I remember correctly I was confined to bed with some childhood complaint. I listened to the Coronation on the radio as it was some years before we got our first black & white TV set. Happy days & life seemed so much simpler then.

I'm no royalist but I think Elizabeth II has done a remarkable job as Queen. Long may she continue.

I like the Royal family. It's just about the only thing that keeps England different. :)
