On this day in 1940 Mr. W. Churchill took over as PM from Britains great pre-War comedian Neville Chamberlain (famed for his piece of white paper jokes) :o

Roger, Will and myself did one way back in FS2k2, it was loads of fun. Will had to be the Lanc pilot as;
a) he was the only person who wanted to be
b) he can't do formation flying all that well so we formed up on him ;D

At which time he was First Lord of the Admiralty (again).

Interestingly, as First Lord of the Admiralty (the first time around), he was instrumental in promoting the aerial defense of the UK through the RNAS.

One willing MP Spitfire/Hurricane/Lancaster pilot here... Sounds a plan...

WoP Lanc and JF Spits (II/V/IX/XIX)?

...Also just been watching "Churchill - The Hollywood Years" - hilarious. I never knew Shakespeare was American... ;)

You'll have to get the WoP package - it's well worth it; Lanc, B-17, B-29, B-24...  ;) ;D
