Fuhrer Bunker

Does anyone know what it really looked like? From what I gather photgraphs werent allowed...does anyone know if it still exists?

Obviously not. But there are still thousands of bunkers spread in the entire country. Most of them aren't accessible 'though.

I recall seeing something about this on History Channel a while ago.  It was located underneath a park and parts of it were still accessible.  You might be able to find something searching History.com.

I was surprised to read this. Even if it was too tough to be destroyed I assumed it would have been filled in.

The concrete walls of the Bunker were 4.5m thick (!)

How do I know such a fact?

The History / Discovery / Whatever its called Channel had a show about it the other night!

Actually, it's a few streets away from the recently opened WW2 memorial site (with the concrete blocks), under a parking lot. One or two of the buildings that were there in the 40's are still standing at the location
