I'm looking to make a repro. Flying Tiger jacket. I'm looking for a A-2 jacket for $100-200 range. I can get all the patches easily, I just need a jacket to put them on. Can anyone point me to a good website?

I think you'd need to pay around 300-400 for a decent A-2.
For what purpose are you using it for?

Lucky dog...

I've been looking for a reproduction Luftwaffe visor cap for a long time, but they're all so dang expensive!  Must be nice to have a big budget eh? :P ;) :-*

I know where you can get a decent Schirmutze!

Type in Grant's Militaria on google, select pages from australian, I think he has a new page.
Decent schirmutze from 30 dollars upward!
(thats where I bought mine, plan to convert it to RAF soon...)

not a big fan of the A-2...I rather like the B-3 though, if only because its so similar to the RAF Irvin jacket. I plan on buying a repro Irvin in a few years, such a good, quality jacket. I recently purchased a repro pair of 1936 pattern RAF flying boots from motorcowboy.com, along with a pair of repro 1933 pattern RAF gauntletts, and an RAF scarf. A bit hard on the wallet, especially when your saving for both a private licence and university, but its worth it. Hope to have the full RAF flying kit in a 4 or 5 years when I start flying Tiger Moths. :)

Oh, and while we're on the topic, does anyone know of anyplace whatsoever that makes/sells repro Royal Naval air Service caps? I have the proper cap badge, but I cant seem to find a modern navy hat that looks right, thought I might as well spend a little extra cash to get a proper hat that fits too...

Flt.Lt.Andrew I'm using it as a regular jacket. Everyone in my school has those bright neon plastic jackets. I want to show them what a real jacket is. Plus I am a huge AVG fan. I know alot about the history of the Flying Tigers and have always wanted a real AVG jacket. But since I cant get a real one, I'll make a repro.

Are you in America?
This may seem really unrelated...
