Just thought I'd give an honourable mention to an old friend.
The Canadian flag, seen below, turned forty today.

I'll go along with that. Didn't realise that Canada was so young.  Happy Birthday to Sarah as well. No comment on your age. I know better than that. ;)

Canada isn't that young...just the flag. :)

After 98 years it was decided that maybe Canada should have it's own flag.

I actually like the version flown during the Quebec Referendum better...more in keeping with the national character than just red/white.

Seeing that the red is meant to indicate the seas on both sides and the white to indicate the snow...its pretty decent!
