I was stuck in DeRidder,LA the other day and had an interesting experience. During WWII the United States, with a seemingly limited supply of money, built airfields and runways from coast to coast( over 50 in the state of Florida alone!). When you come across a former "airfield", even to this day, they show evidence of their heritage. Fort
