I was wondering the various histories behind curse words the other day.  As I recall, the noun referring to fecal matter was an abbreviation for shipping, and the grand daddy of all f'ing time has something to do with the English king?  Although I've heard there's many theories as to it's origins.

There's a big difference between blasphemy & good old-fashioned swear words. I think most of the words we find offensive today originated from various ancient languages. Greek, Latin, Anglo-Saxon etc. etc. I obviously can't go into detail here in case I upset sombody. I can swear like a trooper when occasion demands but I'm old-fashioned enough to object to swearing for the sake of it.

You could find out yourself by looking in any decent dictionary.

Arg.  Simviation deviations.  I just felt like using the word blasphemy is all.  I'm perfectly aware of what it means.  Why, in my post, you can see that I said, "Blashpemy - At least to the soft eared".  And it is common knowledge that having virgin ears makes you part of a religion...
