Hi

I read in a book a pic of a Halifax in desert colours? Did the Halifax ever see service in desert areas?

Interesting Stiz. I found at least one Halifax squadron based in North Africa.

[quote]No 462 Squadron RAAF

Formed on 7 September 1942 at Fayid, it was an amalgamation of detachments from No's 10 and 76 Squadrons operating in the Middle East and was the first Halifax squadron in the area.

The Halifax saw service in Egypt against Rommell as a heavy bomber.
