Video - RAF Bomber Attack on B-29s

From a posting at a mail group I belong:

Nice little link of Meteors and Vampires beating up on B29's....

THis is a 1949 RAF training film.  While it shows RAF jets attacking B-29s, one must rememember that in 1949, the Soviet's main long distance/heavy bomber was the Tu.4 "Bull", a reverse engineered copy of the B.29.

Only difference is that the Tupolev has 23mm cannons in the turrets...

The instrument designations remained in American English? :D ;)

difference in Tactics... dont forget that those 23mm Nudelman or berezin cannons had the highest rate that you could get at that time.

It was a copy at such extent that they even had part of the inside of the plane painted in a different color as they happened to get their hands on a B-29 that was painted with two different colors of primer due to a supply problem at Boeing
