On this day in 1934, Adolf Hitler, already chancellor, is also elected president of Germany...............and we never looked back  ??? ::) :P :-[ :'(

Ol' Adolf, If he had not been so quick to attack all of europe at once who knows, it might have been the Iron Eagle casting a steel eye over most of europe instead of the Red Star. Scarry thought huh?

Read Fatherland by Robert Harris, it describes what you're saying, except the waiting part.  It's set in 1964, and a fantastic book, I read it in two days.

These girls like Hitler.  Based on an interview of them I saw on TV last night.  They don't know much about him, but they like him anyway.
