1995 - Westinghouse Electric Corporation buys CBS.  This one affected me, as I was one of the WEC employees RIFfed in the "rengineering the corporation", which was the business rage at the time.  Three years later, Westinghouse Electric Corporation would complete the sale of its traditional core (electric) industries and rename itself CBS Corporation.  I was back in the company at the time and the power generation side was bought by Siemens.
