Too many to mention ...

Galileo convicted, FDR dies, Gagarin flies, first launching of the Space Shuttle, US Civil War - Firing on Ft. Sumter - and of course, "Rock around the Clock" is recorded!

The best part is that I was Born today, it's my 15 birthday! And it's been a year since I got my flying lessons and I'm loving every bit of it!

Listing anniversaries for April 12th could be a TITANIC venture.

Not a Titanic venture at all.  Titanic set sail from Southampton on 10 April and sank on 14 April.  lol
Great edit, Bob.

In the Russian Federation, its called "Den' Kosmonavtiki" ("Cosmonaut Day") I wonder why  ;)
The cool thing is that, for a short time before his death, Gagarin taught at an Airforce Academy (Zhukovsky Academy) that is right across the street from me!
It isn't a flying academy, its an engineering one.
