Ground resonance, another reason not to fly in a helicopter. The pilot should have recognised it and immediately

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

Helicopters really aren't that dangerous and I wish people wouldn't keep spreading that rumor. Helicopters are as safe as their pilots and mechanics make them. They can be quite safe when properly operated. Even the fact that you can do an autorotation in the event of an engine failure and land safely in a somewhat small area is a good thought. In an airplane, you have to hope that there is somewhere flat to land.

It's the pilot's fault that this happened. He should have just lifted off again. Like I said, they're safe if operated correctly.

The only reason a helicopter flies is that it does not know it shouldn't. They should naturally screw themselves in to the ground  ;D
