I know this should be on Videos but I thought to start a good discussion about helicopters function and how dangerous they could really be

:o what could possibly went wrong?

I always think that Helicopters has too many pieces ,I saw a tutorial few days ago (I didn't understand How it moves from left to right back and forward ) then I saw all those movable pieces ,The more movable part the more dangerous and risk

Caught on camera the crash

Looks like they clipped the guy wire or part of the structure. Fortunately, they were quite low hovering at the time.

A man in the background pulled on a cable, the rotor hit it & it cut through the fuselage. The pilot's alright thankfully.

Some new footage. Better angle so you can see what I was referring to.

I live in Auckland.

This was pretty big news last night on TV. I bet the cause of the accident was a gust of wind. The last couple of days here have been windy as hell.

I live in NZ & they say the CAA is going to spend three months investigating. All you need to do is watch that news clip to see what happened. I feel sorry for the guy who pulled the cable.

I would be asking what the helicopter pilot thought he was doing attempting to operate in such a restricted area. He's an extremely lucky man to be alive. A crane would have been more practical & far less expensive.
