I hope the initial reports are correct. We're not having a good season in England with airshows this year.
I wonder if they we're displaying at Shoreham, in which case Doug will probably have more info later when he gets home....

Our annual show at KBJC, Jeffco(Rocky Mountain Metro) in Broomfield, CO is the 26th, 27th & 28th of Aug. The last incident here was in '97.

If The British continue having airshows like this, Why aren't politicians being put as pilots? Would make good publicity though ;D ;D

The only consolation is that it happened after the display. Not good at all. RIP.

We'll have to wait for the crash report but initial commentary sounds like the aircraft suffered a failure and Flt. Lt. Egging gave his life to avoid others being hurt :'(

In the bigger picture of this tragedy, it was rather lucky then that any failure happened when it did and not in a formation or synchro pair manoeuvre for example, thought I realise that the Reds have contingency manoeuvres for such times, however..........

Investigators say the incident may be the result of a bird strike
