Absolutely amazing that there was only one fatality.

I am sure his (the pilots) actions will be closely studied, much like Sully's were on the Hudson.

From the sounds of it, the one fatality was actually not a trauma injury, but a cardiac event (heart attack).

Indeed.

They doused the beginnings of flames before anything big got started.

I think that is a huge factor. The way the plane broke up, it did not turn into a fireball.
If it had, many would have never made it out of their seats.

"The plane was coming in perfectly. We were just about to land, everything was under control," he said. The accident "appeared out of nowhere."
