"This was pretty much a non-incident in terms of what the outcome was like," said New Jersey Turnpike Authority spokesman Joseph Orlando. "The plane landed, he taxied it over into the shoulder. We can't even get motorists to do that when they break down."

To be honest, looking at some of the roads on the west side of the atlantic, if they were strong enough, you could land an airliner on them!

Only reasons stories like this make the news is because there is video. Non-incidents such as these occur on a rather frequent basis.
