"The motive of the Christmas Day attack was not immediately clear"..
It's clear to me. "Book him, Danno"  8-)

The only thing that disturbs me is how this man got onto the flight...and not only that but how he got on with these type of explosives. Even if you say they arent bad, I still take them as bad. I guess ill have to start worrying again about getting on a plane...the 9/11 excuse wont work anymore with me.  :-/

Glad there okay, what a horrible scare on Christmas.  :(

As I've always said, the TSA pats themselves on the back for no 9/11 attacks since they were created.  I simply say, its because the terrorists haven't tried.

He was on a transfer from Nigeria, basically that tells the complete story.

He probably never went groundside at Schiphol so he was not checked there.

You will know more about Schiphol Airport than me but I find that difficult to believe. From what it says HERE "At Schiphol, all passengers, including transfer passengers, will be subjected to an extensive security check at the gate"

That check is a complete joke on schengen flights
If you dont look too suspicuos they wont notice. Just bag check and some scanner thing that freaks out on your shoe lace rings.

But Lagos managed to book a listed person on a US bound flight... Before pissing on EHAM they'd better find out how THAT happened (probably bribes)

Meaning? Every time I flew back from Lagos to Amsterdam my bags, suitcases and pockets were checked and searched.

Everytime I flew from Amsterdam to Lagos I could pass without being stopped, checked or searched....

Carlo ;)

Thinking about making a new rule that makes all passengers stay in there seats 1 hour prior to landing.
