How many real pilots here?

Just curious as to how many of the members here are real pilots, whether it be recreational or ATP?  FSX has taught me alot about flying that I use in the airplane.  Its a great instrument trainer, really is helping me out with the procedures and shooting approaches

Yo. Eighteen* hours into my PPL. Hopefully I'll finish it up before I leave for the navy.

*Scratch that. 19.2 now. I forgot about my cross country the other day. :P

Of all the "BPB to death" queries we get here, this is the only one I like. ;D

I slogged through my PPASEL over nearly two years, and the only "official" milestone since then is the addition of a tailwheel endorsement.
PP-Glider will follow before this season's over...I've been collecting add-ons to my certificate and collecting aircraft types (well, sampling them anyway) a great deal the last few years, since I got back into flying after a long hiatus. Been having a lot more fun than I did before the hiatus, as well... ;D

I have really slacked off with the flight-simming, which is a shame because getting into FS9 is part of what drove me back to real-life flying...but I still enjoy it, especially flying planes I will not likely ever get to fly in real life.

Speaking of which *cough*, my real-life logged-time list so far is impressing me, if not everyone :D

... and very likely, this Saturday I'll be adding the Ford Tri-Motor to my little list...

LOL I was thinking about how neat that would look in a logbook. ;D

On a fun semi-related side note, I may have some stick time at the controls of the MetLife blimp in two weeks. Now THAT would look spiffy.  8-)

How do you know when there's a pilot at the party?

He'll tell you. 8-) ;D

PPL-ASEL in 2003 and instrument rating last summer, and I'll find out next Friday whether I will be medically cleared to strap on the T-6 Texan II next year (or the year after - I can wait if I have too). :D ;)

Ton's of real pilots around here. Most are knowledgeable and willing to help answer any questions you may have.

I wonder how many different models we have between us. Here's the list of aircraft I've logged time in:

Aeronca 7AC Champ (Built in 1946)
Bellanca 7KCAB Citabria
American Champion 8KCAB Decathlon
Grumman AA-5B Tiger
Cessna 152
Cessna 172
Cessna 172RG
Challenger II
Diamon DA20-C1
Grob 103
Piper PA28-161 Warrior
Piper PA28-181 Archer
Piper PA28R-180 Arrow (180 HP)
Piper PA28R-200 Arrow (200HP)
Piper PA44-180 Seminole
Pitts S-2B
Symphony SA-160
Beechcraft T-34B Mentor
Beechcraft V35 Bonanza

How does a pilot screw in a light bulb?

He just stands on the ladder; the world revolves around him.
