Flew into Wichita, Colonal James Jabara (KAAO) strait from Minnesota along with 2 other brand new planes (SR20 with 3 blade prop, and SR22 G3).  Pilots were friendly, however would not tell us what powered it.  Maybe Lycoming or Continental is going Jet A eh?  Darn Tootin!

They have been available in Europe for a while.

Cirrus

Question is, was this Cirrus, or someone else using that airframe for some testing. I though I read that Thielert, the supplier for Diamond and Cirrus had go to the wall, but cannot find any more info about it.
Picture #1 is a really nice shot.

That surprises me. I would have thought business should be booming. Found this on the company website. http://web.thielert.com/typo3/index.php?id=660&backPID=660&tt_news=1224&L=1

I recall reading it here on the premier ticker tape, but I will check with a German friend in the know.

Further investigation in the German press, I can confirm that the company Thielert is in fact insolvent and presently looking for investors, but apparently it is not looking good. Looks like they are up to date on their web subscription though. Shame, looks like a great product.

These guys were from Duluth Minnesota.  They were employees of Cirrus as a part of 2 other planes, and if thielert is going bankrupt maybe cirrus is purchasing?  Maybe Lycoming or continental made one.

Another thing:  Interesting that Cirrus employees came to Wichita.  Considering that I saw several Columbias fly out of Cessna factory right before Columbia was purchased, there might be a deal somewhere in this town

Would make sense on the Lycoming or Continental question. I doubt that these two are sat twiddling their collective thumbs on the subject. Cessna need a resolution for their project, they are/where in the same Thielert boat as Diamond.
It just goes to show, you have an exclusive engine deal with Diamond and Cessna to change the face of aviation and it still can go tits up :-/

Duck, it would appear your hunch was correct. If Diamond are at it, then you can bet Cirrus is also doing the same.
