And then there are two...


There always were 2 ...... but only one flying ;D ... the other was used for spares.

I've been lucky enough to see it twice now. I posted some pictures of the last time it was at East Midlands back in November 2007.

2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

Nope... #2 was never completed as they needed all the capacity (both their workforce and the engine production) for the Airforce and Polet orders. Most of the mechanical parts are identical to the An-124.

New one will be more of a hybrid... they might put the rear doors in it again and remove the reinforcement struts and the bumps

You beat me to saying it. I saw pics and video of the 2nd one years ago, when they were talking about the mega movers planes, they were cannibalizing it to make the first one work for commercial use, and wanted to get the 2nd one working again for commercial use also, and if the market wanted it, try to build a few more.
