Passengers on a Saudi 747 filmed an emergency landing caused by a hole in the right wing.

Paa!! that's not a hole in the wing, now Sean can show you what a real hole in the wing looks like ;D

Hard to see what it could be. There is an eye end visible, but the flaps retract OK. Could be part of the mechanical arm linkage for the training edge flap.

I was thinking the same thing. But what would cause it to shoot out the top of the wing like that?

I would go with an anchor point failure. Corrosion or a crack and given time, a big bang as it and the airframe parted company.
