Favourite Aircraft (Military)

Ok guys name your favourite aircraft USAF,RAF and any other nations aircraft. list several if you wish. all mine are RAF Aircraft because i dont know many USAF.

Fixed Wing
1)My first would have to be the C-17, :-*
2) Hercules
3) Nimrod

Jets:
1) Eurofighter Typhoon < who doesnt love this? :)
2) Hawk, i like this because the red arrows use it, excellent

Rotary:
Chinnook
Merlin
Lynx(used by the Army Air Corps, the blue angels i think they are called do aerobatics in these!!!)

So what are your favourite?

Transport:
3) Nimrod

The Nimrod is a maritime patrol aircraft, not transport. ;)

Yeah, but its actually called something like Nimrod MR(Maritime Reconaissance)?

Ok then change it to fixed wing

"Multi Engine" is the term you'd be looking for (and yes, I know that the Typhoon and Tornados all have multiple engines!). ;) :)

Surely it would be easier to have one option for Big Jets then one for Fast Jets  ;)

My favorite is probably the Jaguar, but i doubt ill ever see one of them fly again  :'(

The F4 Phantom because it proves that if you put enough thrust on a house brick, it will fly ;D

To be fair, the wings may have helped - look at Thrust SSC - two Speys just sent that hurtling across the desert! ;) ;D

Yes but without that large tail, it would have become a lifting body. Now take the wings of the Phantom.................... ;D
