Another great shot- Calypso's wingtip vortice carves a perfect spiral out of the cloud-tops.

They descend to follow more closely for a while...

The blister has one panel removed, affording a nice breeze and totally unrestricted viewing.

Flying over Lake Albert, the crew spies what appear to be waterspouts.

It's very odd- there is no associated turbulence. What are these mysterious spirals?

They are huge swarms of mating lake flies!! Yuck!!

Thanks for looking, and if you want to see the film in all its grainy glory, you can rent it from Netflix. they have the whole cCousteau series.

Great stuff, Sean. I actually just ordered this from Blockbuster Online after I heard about it from a flying buddy of mine.
