Garuda Intl 737 Crash

Postby Layne. » Mon Oct 22, 2007 5:46 am

Report on the Garuda Intl 737 Landing Crash states that the crash was caused by the pilot.
Several alarms went off in the cockpit as he was landing to fast and ignored all of the alarms. Which then caused the plane to run off the end of the runway.

Talk about idiocy... atleast i think it was

Ridiculous piloting. I wouldn't have done that and I'm hopeless.

What's the point in sophisticated warning systems if the dolt behind the controls is going to ignore them? :-?

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.
