Sorry, I was so pleased with the price I missed the frequency on the first one. Probably explains why I end up buying stuff twice

Posted: Mon Aug 20, 2007 1:56 pmWhen I was in the USAF we used simple 3-band Motorolas. ;D Channel 3 was tuned to ATC frequency, channels 1 and 2 are a secret. ;D
BTW, aren't ship to ship signals encoded digital these days?

I do know when we were at the mach loop a guy there had a scanner which was picking up the planes as they navigated the low level which included a trainee sounding rather lost asking the guy above him for directions.
