Does anyone have a photo of a Caudron G2 . There are lots available for it's successor the G3 , but I believe that the G2 was the aircraft pictured behind Albert Ball VC in the famous picture of him in the uniform of a 2nd Lt in the 2/7th Notts & Derby's ( Robin Hoods).
He is standing in front of a "horseshoe " cowled sesquiplane with a rotary engine with his goggles and flying coat on his left arm.
Ball had just completed his Flying training at the private Ruffy-Baumann School at Hendon in 1915.
Ruffy Baumann were operating a fleet of up to 12 G2s when they moved to Acton in 1917.
