RIAT07 Meet Up?

Seeing as the RIAT07 is a week away I thought that we should say when we are going up so we could TRY to meet up there.

I am going up on the Saturady and wandering round with my mate so I could meet up somewere with everyone else. And most likely in a blackcurrent Arsenal shirt.

Possible meeting point:

Who is going:
Cessna93 - Saturday
john_uk - Saturday
Anark - Saturday
mrjake2002 - Saturday and Sunday
Mictheslick - Sunday

Good man!

I've never gone to the RIAT before, but possibly next year, as long as it doesn't collide with farnborough, which I pretty much live next to. Lucky me! ;D

I will be going both days but i dont plan to really look at the statics etc until after the flying. Me and my brother will be taking spots on the crowdline when the gates open... if you want we can tell you where we are on the crowdline and save some space at the front for you guys. Btw, showground map here -> http://www.airtattoo.com/airtattoo/Visi ... mation/map

Cheers!  8-)

Ps, i am an Arsenal fan too, born a road away from highbury.  :)

Oh yeah, just a tip... apparently the food is really expensive so I would stock up from tescos the night before; and bring some foldout chairs or something!

Please dont bring fold up chairs they ruin it for everyone who doesnt have fold out chairs....they come along really early and plonk them on the flight line cos they cant be arsed standing up, then just when you think Oh, that's ok cos hes sitting down I can see over him, up he stands and you get heads in every shot....happened at Duxford yesterday :(

But not as annoying as what also happened yesterday when people with STEPLADDERS!!!! used them at the front, thus blocking off the whole view to all behind...

People take chairs so that they can have somewhere comfortable to enjoy the show from, not all of us enjoy standing around for hours on end. Also, they serve as a means of blocking off the inevitable stupid kids and parents who just want to push in front because they were too lazy to get there earlier.
Maybe you should try getting on the crowdline earlier if it's such a problem.

Step ladders and wind breaks are the worst... don't worry i'll stay in my seat... i plan to be at the very front so no need to stand up.  ;)

Maybe you should try getting public transport to an airshow at 5 in the morning.....

.mic....not all of us have cars ;)

Chairs = fine (after all, the person that managed to plonk a chair down did get their earlier).
Windbreaks, stepladders, tents = not fine. Windbreaks and tents take up much more room than is needed, and stepladders are an obvious problem - though only if standing at the front of the crowd. Either way, both are extremely selfish.
