I dropped by the Vulcan tent at Biggin Hill. Seems it will be very doubtful that she will make the Falklands flyby.

Still too much to do.

I'd say they will be really lucky to have it flying by mid/end of july.
I think next year is when it'll be put into it's full display schedule. With a handful this year.

Latest word I'm aware of is that while they won't have a display routine worked up in time for Waddington they may fly it to the show for static display. Whether this is true or just another unsubstantiated rumour is up for debate.

It hasn't flown yet. I'll believe it when I see it.

Don't worry you'll know when its up and running! Hopefully me a few other local members will go down one weekend to Bruntingthorpe and get snap shots of firing up those engines... You never know, if im very lucky I might get it flying over my house when it does it first few flight tests! 8-)

and you do realise they need millions for each airshow season. It doesn't end with getting it flying. It tends to get more expensive. The hope is that many potential investors who see this project as too unrealistic will be tempted to donate money once the aircraft is given its airworthyness certificate.
