Does anyone know the times for it to be on TV? I am looking for ESPN or any sports channel in the US. Can't seem to find it any where. :)

Just got this through on Email.

RED BULL AIR RACE 2007

Race 3: Monument Valley, USA
Population: 220,000
Temperature: 23o

Peter Besenyei (HUN) edged past Brit Paul Bonhomme in a spine-tingling Red Bull Air Race showdown in Monument Valley, flying through an obstacle course above the rugged terrain of the iconic Western setting that made John Wayne famous. British pilot Steve Jones escaped injury in the quarter-finals after crashing heavily into an Air Gate just metres above the ground, an incident that left his plane slightly damaged and forced him to retire from the race.

2nd June 2007

Building on the success of 2006 where crowds of over 1 million people lined the Golden Horn, an estuary that separates the city, the Air Race circus will be once again swoop into Istanbul at the beginning of June. Mike Mangold, who took the honours in 2006, has had a steady start to the 2007 season (currently in 3rd place) but a win in Turkey would put him right back in the driving seat (or should that be cockpit?) to be the 2007 Red Bull Air Race Champion.

Got this, this morning....

Dear sir/madam,

As an official ticket holder for the 2006 Red Bull Air Race at Longleat and/or a member of Red Bull Keep Me Posted we would like to offer you the opportunity to purchase tickets for the 2007 event before they are released to the public on Thursday 17th May. This priority purchasing period will run from Tuesday 15th May at 09:00 until Thursday 17th May at 09:00 when the Red Bull Air Race website begins officially selling tickets.

The venue for this year's event is London. It will be the first time an event of this nature has taken place in the Capital and it promises to be a spectacular showdown with the racing set against the stunning backdrop of London's famous skyline. Spectators will be able to view the action from both the North and South banks of The Thames as the pilots fly at speeds reaching close to 400kph, coping with forces of up to 10G whilst navigating a complex course in the sky.

The challenging race course will be built on The Thames - framed by the Thames Barrier, the skyscrapers of Canary Wharf and the Greenwich Peninsula which is dominated by London's newest entertainment destination, The O2.

If you would like to take advantage of this offer click here to go through to the online ticketing purchasing form (http://www.hangar-7.com).

Before doing so we suggest that you have a read through the enclosed ticket descriptions and FAQs so that you have all the information you need before you make a purchase.

(See attached file: Ticket Descriptions & FAQs.pdf)

Best wishes from the Red Bull Air Race UK Team.

You were lucky ........ I'd been in there all day and was constantly told there would be a break in the weather. At 4ish they decided it wasn't going ahead ..... we'd already started heading back to the car (that took over an hour) and then we moved 10 yards and sat for another 3.5 hours untill we moved again followed by an hour in the queue to get out.

I may take in the London leg ..... but it means an overnight stay to make it worth while.

Man that does suck, at least we turned around and got out fairly quickly.

I was just reading about the London leg and where it is. I was hoping for flying under Tower Bridge to be one of the gates, but alas no.

To be honest, you can get a great view from Greenwich Park right by the monument (top of the hill, next to the observatory) which looks over the river where they will be holding it. It's a little farther out, but free.

I might take the boys down to the park on the day (will be too loud for their ickle ears at the actual event).

If you're going and are on the south side of the river, just behind the dome their is a pub called the Pilot Inn, fantastic food at great prices. But will be busy on the day I'm sure.

Yeah Longleat was free a couple years ago, but they now charge for tickets.

Although If you want to see the London event for free, go to Greenwich park and sit up by the observatory and you have a great view of the course from there.
