sorry i dont know if this goes in "other sites" "humor" or "real aviation"
all i know is i kept waiting for this New York Ground controller to drop an F-Bomb on the air
i just love how people from up around New York - New Jersey - Boston sound so irritated when they are talking.
I used to date a girl from New Jersey - (wow i admitted that?) anyhow we would have normal conversations but she would always sound like she was going to split my "fackin" head open with a baseball bat. ;D it didnt work out...
anyhow
have a listen haha

Ive heard this before, stil funny. Good thing passengers cant hear this (and Ted doesnt serve NY) otherwise passengers would likely have doubts about flying, especially through JFK.

i think it all started when the "little corporate jet" ::) (kinda rude the way he called it that) exited the runway at whatever intersection he wanted... at large busy airports tower will usually tell you where to exit. "Make the next high speed or you can take the 90 at taxiway hotel" for example.
I assume though that tower was busy talking and this corporate jet just turned off the runway and accidentally cut someone off.
ground control has the responsibility of arranging the departing aircraft in a "sequence" this sequence is more or less predicated by tower, departure and center by how many airplanes they can take at the time and where the aircraft is going to be headed after takeoff. ie if he is headed southwest and the sector to the southwest is flooded with aircraft they will put him toward the end of the line.
The sequence must also account for keeping outbound ground traffic moving, while making sure the inbound traffic which is clearing the runways heading for the gate doesnt get in someones way and interrupt the flow.
in short you have to manage inbound and outbound ground traffic so that your guy that is number one for departure doesnt end up 8th in line :-/
The sequence can get seriously interrupted if someone misses a turn, or makes a wrong turn such as what happened here. and when the controller is issuing commands to many aircraft on the ground there and he has three jet blues 3 uniteds 3 deltas they all look the same so it is hard to tell from the tower which is which just by looking... it takes a lot of practice and patience and visualization to keep track of who is who on your airport surface.

Must get real fun in poor visibility.

yeah because then its down to doing it by surface radar.
I have had to do that several times this winter... they tell you to cross the runway and you are looking about 600 feet down the runway into the fog thinking "Wow... if a 757 came plowing through that fog right now i would be toast in the blink of an eye"

Its one of my favorite accents for a person to have.
i cant hear it without thinking about that sweet girl i used to date. She was great. moved back up north to a little place called Philly. so it didnt work out.
She was hilarious, i always sounded so laid back and relaxed with my southern accent and mannerisms, and she always seemed so high strung and so irritated about everything even though she wasnt... it was really very funny. ;D
