FlightTrak, passenger entertainment GPS moving map display. No story really, but I sure that the tabloids can up with some planes falling from the sky cr#p to sex it up a bit  ::)

B1 (Cat C) licenced engineer, Boeing 737NG 600/700/800/900 Airbus A318/19/20/21 and Dash8 Q-400
1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

My all singing all dancing BMW SatNav, whilst driving down the Autobahn a few weeks back announced that I should "turn left NOW!". Fortunately I decided that at just over 100 mph that was not such a good idea not to mention there was no left turn. It is only as good as the Muppet that writes the program.

I like being told by mine to do a U-turn on the motorway with a big barrier in the middle.. ;D


I could swear that on occassion mine has quietly muttered "Oh, f**k it, do what you like....."  :-/

You know why its mainly a womans voice. Because we as men are so used to nagging and poor directions from them, that ignoring them and doing it the right way is simple. ;D

I just want to shout "Get OVER it, I'm not going that bloody way no matter WHAT you say!!!!".....however last time I did that I lost the argument  :-?  ::)  ;)
