The chances of a collision between a meteor and an aircraft are about as close to zero as you can get. In all likelihood, the only number smaller than the chances of a collision and still above zero is that number calculus is based upon: 0.0000000...1.
Probably a once-in-a-lifetime thing, not just for those involved, but for everyone.
